.	An aspiring actor, Ryan has come to L.A. to live with his brother Brent, who, he learns at the end of the premiere episode, is a liar and a junkie. He winds up living in The Jungle, a long way -- geographically and emotionally -- from his working-class roots in Wichita, Kansas. Despite his understated presence, Ryan has tremendous depth and sensitivity. After being ripped-off and abandoned by his own brother, he rebounds and forges a steady path through his new life. Ryan has long dreamt of an acting career, and is more passionate, focused and ambitious than he appears at first glance.
