Official Rules and Regulations
2. Winner Selection: 1 (One) prize winner will be selected once each month for 11 months starting November 1, 1997 12:00 midnight in a random drawing on or about the first week of each month and posted the 1st day of the following month from among all eligible online entries received. Random drawing will be conducted by MGM, whose decisions will be final. Prize winners will be notified via email. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
3. Prizes: One winner will have their personal picture and resume posted on the "FAME L.A." promotional web site for a one month period (arv $0.00). MGM, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to edit or refuse to post resumes containing material deemed inappropriate.
4. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States, 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico and Florida. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
5. Internet: If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of MGM which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, MGM reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. MGM assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. MGM is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by MGM on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute, entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. If the potentially winning entry is an Internet or other computer entry, potential winner may be asked to provide MGM with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potentially winning entry.
6. General Conditions: Participation in this sweepstakes constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to abide by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judges which are final on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Entrants release Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this Sweepstakes and the awarding and use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury. Entries are void if unreadable, incomplete, irregular in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these rules. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and compliance with these rules, liability release, publicity release, and/or address verification. TN residents are exempt from publicity requirements. You are not a winner until your entry is validated. Failure to complete, sign, notarize and return any requested documents within 2 business days of delivery to potential winners claimed address or return of prize documents or prize as undeliverable my result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner, at the sole discretion of MGM. By entering, potential winners consent to the use of their name, state, photograph and/or likeness and resume for advertising or publicity purposes (including without limitation online and in print) for this and similar promotions without compensation unless prohibited by law and potential winners hold Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. harmless against any such use.
